Call for Performance Artists: 2026 Transgender Day of Remembrance
Hennepin County Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Employee Resource Group
The Hennepin County Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Employee Resource Group (TGNC ERG) are seeking poets, musicians, spoken word artists, speakers, and other performers for the 2026 Transgender Day of Remembrance. The event would occur on Thursday, November 19 from 4 – 6 PM on site at Minneapolis Central Library in downtown Minneapolis. Performances may include, but are not limited to: Original spoken word poetry Original spoken word prose Recitation of poetry or prose attributed to another writer, within fair use. The TGNC ERG is expecting to pay performers and will negotiate based on performances selected but all performances will be paid no less than $150.00 for a half hour duration. While all are welcome to apply, priority will be given to those of LGBTQIA+ identities, BIPOC and residents of, or those who have a connection to Hennepin County.
